When I was in junior high there was a boy in school nicknamed Thrasher.  He basically did three things-1) kept to himself 2)wore the same Thrasher t-shirt everyday and 3) skated.  Everybody knew who he was even though nobody knew him.  Tony Hawk came for career day and skated on a ramp they put up near the tether ball courts and all the boys judged him.  Kids who skated to school would ditch their boards in the bushes and try to sneak practicing tricks in between classes and at lunch until they were caught and had to pick up trash....Not long ago I worked on a commercial at a Brentwood high school and was most shocked by the custom pipe racks the school supplied near the entrances that allowed you to hang up your skateboard and lock it up.  Not quite the same.
Los Desperado Art Banditos are about twelve deep and share a no bullshit bond of surf/skate/punk.
I totally dig the capsule trailers they put together to let you know what each artist is all about. Makes me wish I had a dozen mini tv's going all at once showing them at the same time on a loop.
Saturday night take a little trip to enjoy the skate park- it's open and f-r-double E; eat some food from the Lomo Arigato truck (veggie+vegan plates options $7 cash only a plate); the show features painted decks;  & simply enjoy some wine, beer and music.  Sounds good to me. x
