VIA SPIGA 2

On the Via Spiga in Milan, Dolce and Gabbana have opened a new store that not only features their clothes, but fashion from smaller designers too.  How cool is that?  Working as buyers, they have hand-picked designers such as Sophie Theallet, Yigal Azrouel, Elisa Palomino, Fausto Puglisi and Heather Williams amongst others to open a totally new kind of concept boutique. The store will also feature DJ's and espresso, of course-   Come Italiano!
Gabbana recalled how we turned quite nostalgic, remembering our own early days in the business....We were given the chance....We are no longer young but not really old yet, and we feel now it's our turn to help."  (from WWD).

I believe that these kind of spaces and initiatives are the future of fashion, bringing together designers for what they can individually contribute, sharing their creative prism of sensibilities and withdrawing from it a freshness perspective and multi-diversified understanding of what fashion is supposed to represent. Individuality through fusion.
I would love to know more about this, or be a part of the project as well. Check out my website and work.
Hope you guys enjoy it!
