Tucked away in an unassuming two bedroom apartment in Los Feliz, Kathleen Jensen has done the editing for you.
The Secret Shop is a third hand vintage stop that makes it easy and quick to pick up a few treasures.
As you walk down the long carpeted corridor up to her apartment, you wonder if it's going to be worth it. That all changes as soon as you enter you and feel no pressure to buy and are as welcomed as visiting a friend. As I combed through the racks, Kitty explained herself as to why she has a little shop out of her home. Being an artists and stylist assistant as well as addicted to thrifting, Kitty started collecting enough clothes that she eventually had friends over to purchase leftovers and help make way for new finds. Before she knew it, word of mouth spread and now the once only by appointment shop is currently open every Saturday. It only seemed natural for Kitty to open her cozy, clean apartment full of clothing filled racks and great thrift art to strangers for hanging out, browsing or shopping.
And talk about reasonable prices! There is a packed $10 rack and otherwise, most of the items are $30 and under. Since she goes out shopping everyday to it's worthwhile to come back!
